Come with us on an unforgettable journey through the lush southern and southwestern side of Antigua, where tropical rainforest, beautiful beaches, local villages, agriculture, spectacular mountain scenery, and authentic Antiguan food all come together in one experience.
Your adventure begins with pickup from your hotel, cruise port, airport, or another agreed location. From there, we head toward Fig Tree Drive, one of Antigua’s scenic rainforest routes.
🌿 Fig Tree Drive – Through the Rainforest
As we enter Fig Tree Drive, the scenery changes to lush tropical vegetation and rainforest-covered hills. The winding road takes us through the green interior of Antigua, with opportunities to see tropical fruit trees, local farms, villages, and beautiful countryside.
We’ll take our time along the route, allowing you to enjoy the scenery and stop for photographs where appropriate.
🏖️ Morris Bay Beach
From the rainforest, we continue toward Morris Bay Beach, where we’ll make a stop to enjoy this beautiful coastal area.
You’ll have the opportunity to take photographs, enjoy the scenery, and experience the relaxed atmosphere of this picturesque beach.
🌊 Scenic Coastal Viewpoint
We then continue along the coast toward a spectacular scenic point where guests can appreciate the beautiful coastal scenery and views where the Caribbean and Atlantic sides of the island meet.
This is another fantastic photography stop, with beautiful views of the sea, coastline, and surrounding landscape.
🍍 Villages, Countryside & Pineapple Country
As we continue our drive, we’ll pass through several of Antigua’s communities and countryside areas. You’ll see local villages, farmland, and areas associated with Antigua’s famous Black Pineapple.
Your guide will share stories about the communities, agriculture, and local way of life as we travel.
⛰️ Boggy Peak – Formerly Mount Obama
As we travel through the southern hills, you’ll see Boggy Peak, formerly known as Mount Obama.
Standing at approximately 1,319 feet (402 metres), Boggy Peak is the highest point on Antigua.
You’ll be able to appreciate the dramatic mountain landscape from the surrounding roads and viewpoints.
🍽️ Authentic Antiguan Food at Auntie Cavell’s
By this point, you’ll probably have worked up an appetite!
We’ll make a stop at Auntie Cavell’s, where you can enjoy authentic local Antiguan food and experience some of the island’s traditional flavors.
🏖️ Relax at Darkwood Beach
After enjoying the local food, we’ll continue to Darkwood Beach, one of the beautiful beaches along Antigua’s southwestern coast.
Here, you’ll have some time to relax, take photographs, walk along the sand, enjoy the Caribbean water, or simply soak up the island atmosphere.
🚐 The Journey Back
After our beach stop, we’ll continue through more of Antigua’s villages and countryside before making our way back toward your original pickup location.
By the end of the experience, you’ll have seen a completely different side of Antigua—from rainforest and mountains to local villages, pineapple-growing areas, authentic food, scenic coastal viewpoints, and beautiful beaches.
